Mindfulness - Help manage stress and anxiety

For Middle School Students

8 week program

Topics include:
  • Defining stress and effects of stress on the body and mind
  • Developing and practice learning to be aware of present moment (mindfulness)
  • Caring vs Worrying
  • Tools to handle life: Letting go, forgiveness, acceptance, communication skills, appreciation and gratitude in daily life.
We will be learning and practicing these skills through movement, games, art, writing and meditation.

Facilitator: Diane Lasher-Penti, LMFT, Youth Services Director

  -Trained facilitator in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens Program

Wednesdays after school until 3:30 pm
