Their blankets are lovingly made by adults and children from all walks of life and many different sources. HANDS TOUCHING HEARTS is a global outreach effort developed by Rockville resident Ann M. Cosgrove (Ann-spirations). Her program gives Americans of all ages the opportunity to create medals of appreciation for members of the military.
The night will include decorating a medal ribbon that will be attached to a hand made medal (made by Ann) and writing a personal thank you note that will go with the medal to a service member.
Medals are given out at military bases and healthcare facilities. No specialized artistic skills are required to participate. All materials are provided. The only thing you supply is a heartfelt desire to say "thank you" to our service members.
To register (by November 7th), email Deb Stauffer at email@example.com. $5 will be collected at the door (covers cost of medal and postage).
