About Youth Services

Youth Services is a department of Ellington Human Services, Youth Services mission is to provide program and services, while building relationships which bond youth in a positive way to their families, schools, peers and community.

 

The staff of Youth Services is here to support and assist children from birth to 18 years of old through many life transitions. 

Youth Services provides programs that strengthen and develop essential life skills needed to succeed in many challenges facing the youth of today.

 

Youth Services has partnered with Ellington School district to provide ongoing in-school programs which were created by Youth Services

Once implemented into the classroom, these programs have greatly assisted children with issues such as bullying, social skills, conflict resolution and self-esteem.

 

Using tools like team building, relaxation techniques, and communication skills enable the children to enhance better peer relationships and self-respect.
