DPYC is looking for committed community members to collaboratively strengthen our youth and increase the awareness of substance use in Ellington.
As a DPYC member you will:
- Represent the voice and perspective of your community.
- Help to make decisions about strategies and activities to implement in the community.
- Serve as an ambassador of the Coalition and its community prevention strategies.
- Connect coalition strategies to resources – new or existing.

Agency Mission: The principle function of the Connecticut State Police personnel is to protect life and property. This is done by a team consisting of a State Police Sergeant and 4 Resident State Troopers, 14 Police Constables, 3 Marine Constables, and Troopers from Troop C in Tolland.
The Village for Families & Children (The Village)
Agency Mission: The Mission of the Village for Families & Children is to build a community of strong, healthy families who protect and nurture children.
AMPLIFY, Inc.
Agency Mission: By partnering with people with behavioral health needs, families, and our communities in evaluating, educating and advocating, Amplify, Inc. informs and influences best practices, local and state policy, and access to resources that leads to the success of people in recovery and to the growth of healthy and inclusive communities.
Ellington Parks & Recreation
Agency Mission: The Ellington Parks & Recreation Commission and recreation staff continue to make a concentrated effort to provide a cross section of quality programming on a year-round basis. An earnest effort has been made to create and offer programs, both on a passive and non-passive basis, for all age groups within the community. Additional special events and "creative" programming continue to be of interest to the residents of the community, providing department staff with the opportunity to plan and implement family-oriented activities too.

Agency Mission: Ellington Public Schools creates a culture of learning that challenges and inspires all students on their personalized educational journeys.
Become Part of the Solution
Become Part of the Solution website
Agency Mission: Become Part of the Solution is a non-profit organization that reaches out to alcoholics and addicts with unconditional love. The organization helps provide inpatient acute care, post inpatient rehabilitation, and post rehabilitation housing for alcoholics and addicts who are in need.
North Central District Health Department
The NCDHD promotes and protects the optimal health status and well-being of our communities by:
- administering public health regulations
- promoting and engaging community partnerships
- promoting primary prevention and health education, and ensuring public health emergency preparedness
IN THE NICK OF TIME
Our mission is to reduce the stigma associated with depression and addiction through education and awareness. We target discussions and events primarily with middle and high school students and parents in our communities. We help them understand and accept the issues and threats their children face and identify resources to assist them. Special focus is placed on education around the ever-increasing devastation of fentanyl on our families.
EYS ALLIANCE
EYS Alliance is an Ellington Youth Service student based group offering high school students the opportunity to develop critical leadership tools by connecting the youth to the community through education, awareness, and service.
EYS Alliance inspires the youth to find their voice and develop skills to successfully navigate life.
